Satisfaction is not Complacency
Are you satisfied with your journey, right now, where you are today? Can you say you’re where you want to be if you don’t take another step forward? Or are you complacent in your current situation, not caring to move forward, but not living your best possible life? We should all meditate on the difference between satisfaction and complacency.
Strive to be satisfied now, today, and understand that life is a journey, and that results are temporary. Get the job, get the raise, get the money - but if you’re not satisfied with yourself the way you are today, even if you get all of the things you strive for, it will only be a short time before the rewards you fight for don’t make you feel better about yourself.
That being said, complacency is different. We must create change, self improve, and work toward a better life for ourselves and those around us. To be complacent is to resign from life. To be satisfied is to be happy at every step along your journey.
