Flexibility of the Mind

Flexibility of the Mind

Nothing has been set in stone for you and your destiny. Even your physical mind is a flexible, changing part of you. Your thoughts dictate your behaviors, your behaviors dictate the sensory experiences of your life, and those experiences in turn are reflected back again in your thoughts.

This cycle of life affecting thoughts and our thoughts dictating life is at the core of meditation. Set aside time for your physical space to be at peace, and still. When your physical space is still, you can focus on your thoughts, guiding them toward the light, and learning about yourself.

When you regularly practice intentional thought patterns, your mind adjusts. The neuroplasticity of your mind allows for you to make lasting changes in your default thought patterns.

Meditation is not the only way to alter your neural patterns. You can do so with psychedelics, physical activity, and by simply being mindful of exposing yourself to positive and healthy people and places.

Running along a beautiful coastline in total solitude might be the most meditative and centering activity you can do.
