In the early hours of April 14, 1561, the citizens of Nuremberg, Germany were in for quite the surprise. What can only be described today as a celestial battle between alien races took place during the first light of the day. Many artistic depictions and writings recount this bizarre occurrence. 

Regardless of the scientific facts and explanations, the world is a richer place when we allow ourselves to imagine, and let that imagination carry us to more interesting places.

This could have just been a sun dog, or a bizarre weather occurrence. What’s more interesting is the idea of an interstellar war taking place and popping into our galaxy for a brief moment before moving on. Maybe our civilization was marked down that day as a place to check back on in 500 years or so. 

By suspending the notion that we are at the center of the universe, we open ourselves up to a world of new possibilities.
