Drugs of Hallucination by Sydney Cohen
This is a used copy of Sydney Cohen's book Drugs of Hallucination. The author Cohen (18 September 1921 – 25 July 2017) was a Professor of Chemical Pathology at Guy's Hospital Medical School and an authority on malaria. He was educated at King Edward VII School, Johannesburg, and at Witwatersrand and London universities. In this book, Cohen endeavors to describe the LSD experience. He investigates LSD from a scientific point of view (chemically, physiologically, psychoanalytically, etc) as well as subjective perspectives (including detailed first-hand accounts). Cohen examines the commonalities of LSD encounters, including spiritual rebirths and aesthetic responsiveness.
